West of Scotland Open

The
99th West of Scotland Open, the first open competition of the season
in Scotland, was held at Jubilee range on 3rd and 4th May. There were
45 entries and the competition was ably organised and efficiently run
by John Potter for the 20th successive year. Despite a forecast of
intermittent showers for Saturday and rain all day for Sunday, it rained
for only the last 10 minutes of the second day. Putting up the gazebos
at the start of each day seems to guarantee that it stays dry.
