On 15 Feb 10 volunteers (including six who had a round trip of about 200 miles) re-rigged the targets in a snowy Glen Tilt, in time for the 2009 season.

First target going in. Footwork was tricky in several inches of snow. Fortunately the H&S inspector was unable to get to the range.
Maneuvering 85 Kg target through a space with 2 inches to spare.

Using the "Modified Council Worksquad" procedure: Jackie MacLean, Iain Conacher and Adam MacPherson (behind Iain) manoeuvre the target while Foreman Duncan Spence and Senior Foreman Jim McCall supervise (full procedure requires, in addition, Chief Foreman with clipboard plus two men in a van drinking tea).

Last one going in.

Looking for the weights. When we de-rigged the targets in October, we left the weights in the grass "where we shall easily find them". Nobody told us it might snow in February!

Covers on and let's go home.
