Club Results for 24th April 2011
25 club members enjoyed a pleasant, dry, though overcast Easter Sunday in Glen Tilt at long range. Conditions at 900x were benign and the F(TR) shooters in particular made hay. Conditions at 1000x were a little more fickle at times though this did not stop Tim Kidner making a remarkable 20 round HPS in TR, Paul Crosbie adding another in F(TR) class whilst Hugh Inglis and Grant Taylor made super scores on the diminutive F class target. Richard Scott will rue his last at 1000x which deprived him of a possible. Two members came off 900x bamboozled as to how they could have made such poor scores in such easy conditions before it was discovered their monitor had been set at 600x! Another member was somewhat embarrassed to discover he had left his bolt at home. At 1000x some members also shot Match Rifle and were joined by four others from the NRCofS. Thanks go to the usual suspects who did the bulk of the target rigging and derigging. The new higher specification, brighter monitors proved popular with those using them for the first time.

Club Results for 29th May 2011
The awful forecast must have deterred many, with F Class especially depleted. A dozen optimists had a challenging day of intermittent rain, occasional sun and winds gusting to 20mph with frequent changes of direction. Because of the problems of taking down and re-erecting gazebos in high winds we shot twice at 500yds, rather than moving back to 600yds. Thanks to everyone helping with set-up, close-down and distance change we finished in good time.

Club Results for 26th June 2011
A dozen TR and TR/F shooters shot in almost constant heavy rain but very little wind. It was a day crowded with incident. Mike Ozmond had to retire from 400 yds after putting in four bulls, due to a faulty bolt, which was repaired (by a committee of five) in time for 500yds; John MacRae had the best hard-luck story with a 75v11 at 400 - but one bull on the wrong target: and WARC chairman, in an olympic-standard display of senior absent-mindedness managed to put shots 11,12 and 15 ALL on the wrong target! -at 400yds!! - shooting at target 1!!! - a feat unlikley to be surpassed in the near future.

Club Results for 4th September 2011
18 members enjoyed what was probably the best shooting day since April: constant sunshine and Glen Tilt looking its best with the heather blooming on Beinn Mheadhonach. The only complaints were of clouds of midges in the butts and at 400, and of excessive heat around 2pm at 600.
At 400 there was negligible wind. It should have been "possibles all round", but only Richard Scott managed it in TR and only Mike Barton and Paul Crosbie in F/TR; Paul's being one of three, giving him a possible for the day. Peter Burbridge had the only other 600 possible.
